Gold Frame
This wonderful old frame was originally painted
a solid gold. Some of the ornate filigree was either damaged or missing
altogether but it was a perfect fit for Mark
Eirhart's painting "Out of the Valley".
I was able to relace the missing pieces with
an acrylic-based filler that I could form into the necessary shapes.
I then painted the filagree purple and silver and antiqued it to match
the colors in the painting and painted the remainder a solid black.
I'm proud to say it was well received at Mark
Eirhart' art
show in June, 2008.

Blue Frame
This was a really nice frame - good and sturdy
but tinted a plain ol' brown. I thought the shape and size would be
perfect for Mark
Eirhart's painting "Solitude". Since the painting
was a fairly dark hue, I wanted the frame to be more of a middle value
so the painting would stand out, yet not be overpowered.
I picked up the blue from the stars, the bronze
from the tree and added black to the rest to give him a unique presentation
for his beautiful painting.
